A million reasons to celebrate
CENTRALIA — "Disbelief' was the
first reaction of Lloyd Rimmer of
Centralia last week when he got a
phone call from the Heart and
Stroke Foundation, informing him he
was a million dollar winner.
It took eight years of buying tickets
for Rimmer to win.
With the reality of the win still
sinking in, Rimmer hasn't made any
plans for any purchases yet.
"I don't think it has (sank in) yet.
It's a nice thought, it really is. It's
going to change a few things."
"There is a bunch of stuff going
through my mind, but nothing con-
crete yet. But the idea of retiring has
entered the conversation."
Rimmer's luck wasn't all good last
week however.
On his way to look at a new truck,
his car got stuck in the snow.
"We got up to Exeter, and they
were all covered in snow, we could-
n't tell what make or model they
were."
It was the first big win for Rimmer,
who said he has won smaller things
before, but "nothing major."
