onds to go in the third
period, the Lucan llderton
Jets were trying to hang
on for a win which would
give them a 2-1 series

through for the tying goal
to force an overtime
where they would score
for a 3-2 win to take the

Friday night the Jets
were up 1-0 after the first
period on a goal by Mark
Phillips and held a 3-2
lead after two periods
with goals from Ben
Dobbie and Craig Black.
Durham tied it in the
third, but with seven sec-
onds left in the game,
Black added his second
for a 4-3 Jets win.
The Jets outshot
Durham by a 30-22 mar-
gin.
Saturday night in Lucan,
the game remained score-
less for the first half with
neither team able to gen-
erate much offence until
Bill Byers took a pass
from behind the net and
fired it home for a 1-0

With the Jets up by one
late in the game on a Rob
Silver goal it looked like
they would be able to
hang on. But with the
man advantage the
Thundercats stormed the
net, missing repeated
chances as the seconds
wound down until finally
getting the equalizer with
10 seconds left.
Jets general manager
Rob Andrews said home
ice hasn't been as big an
advantage in the series as
it should have been.
"We've got our back up
against the wall and we
have to go up there and
try to beat them again."
The Jets will have some
players back in the lineup
with the return of Adam
Thompson and Jason
Wilson, and the possibility
of Todd Hunt returning.
Andrews said while
Hunt might just play on
power plays and short
handed, the team wanted
to get him into the lineup.
