`Beauty and the Beast' coming
EXETER — `Beauty and the Beast' is
coming to Exeter.
This live theatre production is directed
and choreographed by Deb Homuth.
The musical direction is being done by
Cecile Muller.
A cast of 55 area school children are
working hard at rehearsals to be ready
for show time.
The production will be presented
March 3 to March 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the
small gym of South Huron District High
School.
Tickets will be on sale in February at
Stedman's, Greeting Card World, Mount
Carmel School, Exeter Public School and
SHDHS.
Beauty is being played by Heather
Amerongen and the Beast by Clint
Homuth.
The cast of singing roses from the cas-
tle wall will delight the audience and
director Homuth is enjoying the oppor-
tunity to work with so many enthusiastic
and energetic performers.
Tanner Shapton, Zach Dougall,Taryn Dougall, Rachel
Hall and Grayson Homuth show off the acting skills
they will display in March at a performance of
`Beauty and the Beast' at South Huron District High

Authorities hire project manager

Authorities are pleased to
announce the hiring of
Cathie Brown, B.A.,
M.P.A. to the position of
Project Manager for
Source Water Protection
in the ABCA/MVCA
Watershed Region.
Brown has a Masters
Degree in Public
Administration and an
undergraduate degree in
Geography from the
University of Western
Ontario. She is currently
the Executive Director of
The Ontario Rural Council
(TORC) and is responsible
for overall leadership of
this non-profit province -
wide organization dedi-
cated to facilitating rural
networks.
Previous experience
with the County of Huron,
Ministry of Municipal
Affairs, London and
MacLaren Plansearch of
London have provided
her with the opportunity
to develop a wide range
of skills including: devel-
oping partnerships, col-
laborative management,
diplomacy, negotiation
and facilitation, strategic
planning, human
resources management,
working with municipal
politicians and technical
staff and financial and
administration manage-
ment .
Conservation authorities
have been providing
watershed management
services in partnership
with municipalities,
stakeholders and
landowners for almost 60
years. This wealth of sci-
entific and technical
expertise will be dedicat-
ed to providing source
water protection planning
to improve and protect
the health of the Ausable,
Bayfield and Maitland
watersheds.
