For the second Wednesday in a row the Irish were blanked 5-0 at home, this time by Mt. Brydges, before a 6-5 loss in Mitchell Jan. 7. Despite the losses, the Irish remain in first place in the conference with a 20-10-1- 0 record, for 41 points, two up on Mt. Brydges and four ahead of Exeter and Lambeth. Wednesday night the Irish were down early against the Bulldogs, giving up a pair of goals in the first period before a shorthanded goal in the second put the visi- tors up 3-0. Lucan came out in the third looking to get back in the game. But it was Mt. Brydges scoring early, making it 4-0 in the first minute before adding another before the period was over for the 5-0 win. Lucan will try to get back on the winning track tonight (Wednesday) with its only game of the week when West Lorne visits at 7:45 p.m. Lucan will be represented Saturday night at the league all- star game with coach Randy Campbell behind the bench, as well as Derek Liddle, goalie Corey Hackney and Aaron Whitcomb.
