THE FOLLOWING MUNCHIE IS A FAVORITE OF YOUNG AND
OLD ALIKE! IT ACTUALLY RESEMBLES PUPPY CHOW BUT
TASTES WONDERFULLY GOOD. THIS YEAR ONE OF MY SONS
BOUGHT HIS OWN INGREDIENTS AND MADE IT SO HE
COULD ENJOY HIS OWN TREAT LONGER THAN THE COUPLE
OF DAYS IT MIGHT LAST AROUND OUR HOME!
PUPPY CHOW
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup margarine
1350 g box of Crispix cereal
at least 2 cups icing sugar
Melt first 3 ingredients and then pour over cereal and
carefully mix till all cereal is coated with the chocolate
mixture. Put the icing sugar in a large paper grocery bag
and put cereal mixture into bag. Close up the bag and
shake till cereal is well coated. You may need to add a
wee bit more icing sugar to be sure each piece is coated.
Store in an airtight container and in a cool spot.Just try
to make this last!
HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY! I'LL LOOK FORWARD TO
CONTINUING THE RECIPE COLUMN IN THE YEAR 2005. KEEP
