For the week ending Dec. 10.
Total Receipts: 3,817 head of
cattle, 1,510 lambs and goats.
Summary
Tuesday: The fed steers and
heifers sold $3 to $4 higher.
Choice steers and heifers sold
80 to 85 sales to 97, 2nd cut
steers and heifers sold 75 to 80.
The cows sold on a steady
trade.
Thursday: The veal sold on a
good active trade with prices
steady to last week. The lambs
traded on a fully steady market.
Friday: All weights and class-
es of stockers sold on a steady
market.
Steers
There were 485 steers on
offer.
Irvin B. Weber, Mt Forest
consigned two limo steers aver-
aging 1223 lbs which sold to
Dominion Meat Packers for 97.
His overall offering of thirty-
four steers averaged 1328 lbs
selling for an average price of
84.28.
Nineteen steers consigned by
Lloyd Frey, Harriston averaged
1416 lbs selling for an average
price of 85.04 with his top limo
steer weighing 1425 lbs selling
to Holly Park Meat Packers for
95.
Stuart Horst, Elmira con-
signed five limo steers averag-
ing 1398 lbs which sold to Holly
Park Meat Packers for 88.75.
Heifers
There were 277 heifers on
offer.
Ron Dougall, Exeter con-
signed two gold heifers averag-
ing 1495 lbs which sold for
96.75. His overall offering of
thirty heifers averaged 1365 lbs
selling for an average price of
87.20.
Ten limo heifers consigned by
David Bowles, Brussels aver-
aged 1318 lbs selling for an
average price of 86.74 with
sales up to 91.75.
John Martin, Lucknow con-
signed two limo heifers averag-
ing 1315 lbs which sold for
91.25. His overall offering of
eight heifers averaged 1360 lbs
selling for an average price of
87.06.
COWS
There were 222 cows on
offer. D1 & D2: 20-25 sales to
43; D3: 15-20; D4: 10-15; Shell
Cows: 5-8.

consigned three limo cows
averaging 1275 lbs which sold
for an average price of 29.98
with sales to 43.
Brad Speiran, Brussels con-
signed one hol cow weighing
1020 lbs which sold for 31.
One black cow consigned by
Robert McGee, Wingham
weighed 1025 lbs which sold
for 26.50.
Bulls
There were 11 bulls on offer
selling 18-23 sales to 25.50.

signed one red bull weighing
1910 lbs which sold to Denview

Denfield Livestock Sales
For Tues., Dec. 7, the market
at Denfield traded on a strong
demand at prices $3-$5 higher
with the fancy fed cattle selling
very strong. A large offering of
cows sold active at slightly
higher prices with Montreal
orders strong. A good offering
of stockers sold active at strong
prices. A large offering of
Holstein bull calves sold strong;
sows and boars steady.
