Another successful
parade for Zurich
by Vicki Wilder,
Zurich parade
committee chair
ZURICH — On behalf of
the parade committee, we
would like to thank every-
one for participating and
attending the fifth annual
lighted Christmas parade
in Zurich. We had 44
entries in total.
This year we had a few
families who decided to
put in a `family' float—
way to go! And to all the
businesses who took the
time to enter a float, thank
you, we really appreciate
your participation.
To help offset the costs
of the parade there will be
donation jars in the local
businesses in Zurich until
Dec. 15. Any donations
would be much appreciat-
ed.
Thanks again and we
will see you all again next
year, the first Sunday in
December.

Queensway news: bingo, music, bus trip
HENSALL - The women of Bethel Reform Church in
Exeter provided assistance and prizes at the Monday
afternoon bingo games for the month of November.
Following the games, they joined residents for refresh-
ments and a time of singing hymns and Christmas car-
ols.
Rev. Alex McGillvery of Zurich and Dashwood United
Churches led worship Nov. 23 with a message about joy
with Belva Fuss as volunteer pianist. Rev. Ann Kruger of
Zurich Lutheran led the service Nov. 30 with Audrey
Haberer playing piano. All were pleased to have the
opportunity to meet the new Christian Reform minister,
Pastor Harry Frielink.
Resident council met Nov. 26 to discuss the many
upcoming Christmas events as well as their opinions on
recent scheduled events. Resident input plays a signifi-
cant role in the planning of programs and events at
Queensway.
Gail Mason and her Fellowship Singers presented a
wonderful gospel music program Nov. 28.
Dec. 1 residents travelled by bus throughout Exeter
and Hensall to view the many Christmas light displays.
Drivers Louise and Judy gave Queensway residents the
tour with the grand finale being a stop at Dairy Queen
for ice cream cones.
Dec. 3 the retirement home lounge was filled to capac-
ity with residents and guests enjoying the lively music of
