I COULD MAKE A MEAL OF THEM- PROBABLY HAVE IN THE PAST! THE FOLLOWING RECIPE IS FROM AN OLD NEIGHBOUR OF OURS WHO BROUGHT THIS OVER ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS WHEN WE WOULD HAVE AN EVENING WITH THEM! YOU CAN LIGHTEN UP THE RECIPE WITH LIGHT MAYO AND FAT FREE SOUR CREAM. SPINACH DIP FOR PUMPERNICKEL BREAD I cup mayonnaise 2 cups sour cream I pkg frozen spinach (thawed, well drained and chopped fine) I pkg KNORR vegetable soup mix I tin water chestnuts (drained and chopped fine) Mix well and serve in hollowed out loaf using the hollowed out bread for dipping! Easy and great to prepare ahead and fill the bread bowl a few minutes before serving. r Capsule Comments by Ernie Miatello Unlike men, half the women who have heart attacks don't feel any chest pain. But women may experience other symptoms like weakness, shortness of breath, cold sweat, dizziness or unusual fatigue. Also for a few months before the heart attack, other symptoms like disturbed sleep, indigestion, anxiety and shortness of breath may have occurred. Don't take a chance. Get those symptoms checked. When all else fails, insomniacs are often given sleeping pills. These often have mixed results. A new one is now being researched. It is called indiplon and it sounds like a winner. It improves the quality of sleep without causing daytime drowsiness and can be stopped without causing rebound insomnia. Should be available in Canada and the U.S. during the next two years. The disinfectant, phenol, was first used in surgery back in 1865. Its use reduced the incidence of surgical deaths from 45% to 15%. Phenol was responsible for that hospital smell back in the old days. If your thyroid gland is not producing enough thyroid hormone, your hair may become brittle and coarse, your heart beats more slowly, you gain weight, your tongue thickens and constipation is common.
