I REALLY ENJOY SNACKY FOODS! I COULD MAKE A MEAL OF
THEM- PROBABLY HAVE IN THE PAST! THE FOLLOWING RECIPE
IS FROM AN OLD NEIGHBOUR OF OURS WHO BROUGHT THIS
OVER ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS WHEN WE WOULD
HAVE AN EVENING WITH THEM! YOU CAN LIGHTEN UP THE
RECIPE WITH LIGHT MAYO AND FAT FREE SOUR CREAM.
SPINACH DIP FOR
PUMPERNICKEL BREAD
I cup mayonnaise
2 cups sour cream
I pkg frozen spinach (thawed, well drained
and chopped fine)
I pkg KNORR vegetable soup mix
I tin water chestnuts (drained and chopped fine)
Mix well and serve in hollowed out loaf using the hollowed out
bread for dipping! Easy and great to prepare ahead and fill
the bread bowl a few minutes before serving.

Unlike men, half the women who have heart
attacks don't feel any chest pain. But women
may experience other symptoms like weakness,
shortness of breath, cold sweat, dizziness or
unusual fatigue. Also for a few months before the heart attack, other
symptoms like disturbed sleep, indigestion, anxiety and shortness of
breath may have occurred. Don't take a chance. Get those
symptoms checked.
When all else fails, insomniacs are often given sleeping pills. These
often have mixed results. A new one is now being researched. It is
called indiplon and it sounds like a winner. It improves the quality of
sleep without causing daytime drowsiness and can be stopped
without causing rebound insomnia. Should be available in Canada
and the U.S. during the next two years.
The disinfectant, phenol, was first used in surgery back in 1865. Its
use reduced the incidence of surgical deaths from 45% to 15%.
Phenol was responsible for that hospital smell back in the old days.
If your thyroid gland is not producing enough thyroid hormone, your
hair may become brittle and coarse, your heart beats more slowly,
you gain weight, your tongue thickens and constipation is common.
An underactive thyroid can be diagnosed with a simple blood test.
