Ron Ferguson Memorial ringette tournament
EXETER - The annual Ron Ferguson
Memorial tournament was another suc-
cess according to ringette president
Michele Hodgert with teams competing
from several different centres, including
Ripley, Dorchester, Mitchell, Tillsonburg
and St. Marys. Exeter teams winning
gold in the tournament were the Petite C
and Tween B teams.
Hodgert said what the tournament
aimed for was having competitive play
and all the divisions were very close.
"We were four teams smaller than
what we usually are, but the addition of a
tournament in Waterloo this year next
weekend which really has impacted on
tournaments around the area."
"But all in all we had a great weekend
with a great response, from the commu-
nity. The response from the community
to help support the tournament was awe-
some.
Hodgert added convenor Terri Reid had
a big part in the tournament, getting all
the teams in.
