Lighted Christmas parade in Zurich on Sun. Dec. 5

will be meeting on Thurs., Nov. 25, 7 to 8:30 p.m. to

ble to enter a float in the parade.
A good time was had by all those attending the
Christmas party at JD's Cafe in Bayfield Saturday night.
It was a Jerry Lee Lewis tribute night with Bill Diel. The
evening included a delicious buffet and dancing.
There is a turkey bingo at the Zurich Complex spon-
sored by the Zurich Lions Club on Wednesday, doors
open at 6 and games start at 7 p.m. The Lions Club
delivered the new phonebooks around town recently. If
you were missed call Lion John Becker at 237-3628.
CWL meeting
St. Boniface Catholic Women's League held their
monthly meeting on Nov. 16 after mass for vocations.
Deb Pennings introduced speaker Kim Winbow, a coun-
selor with V.O.N. After lunch president Joan Regier
opened the meeting. Right to Life memberships were
collected. If you were missed call Bella Soudant.
A box is also available for the Huron County Christmas
Bureau for toys, etc. until Dec. 10 when it will be
brought to Precious Blood Church in Exeter. Cecilia
Farwell will be taking Christmas gifts to the shut-ins of
the parish at the Blue Water Rest Home and Hensall.
Pat Meidinger reported on a very successful bazaar. A
motion was made to make a large donation to the parish
building fund. Also to send some money to India to help
support a seminarian. The door prize was won by Mary
Regier.
A committee has purchased material and batting to
work on a quilt this winter for the next Bean Festival.
Please note that the December meeting will be
changed to Wed., Dec. 8. There will be no executive
meeting in December. Joan Regier, Bella Soudant and
Mary Jacobs groups are in charge.
The next free bus service to the Bank of Montreal in
Hensall is Tues., Nov. 30 leaving from Blue Water Rest
Home and Maplewoods Apartments by 9:15 a.m. and
from the corner in front of the Hay Mutual Insurance
before 9:30 a.m.
The Zurich Fire Department annual food drive is Sat.,
Dec. 4. Please put donations out at the curb from 10
a.m. to noon that day or drop them off at the Fire Hall at
that time. The local food bank will be getting the canned
goods.
Approximately 90 people attended the Diners' 15th
anniversary dinner held at the Zurich Complex last
Wednesday afternoon. A delicious roast beef dinner was
served with all the trimmings followed by entertainment
by the Old Spice Girls from Mitchell.
John and Natalie Mason of Dashwood returned home
on Saturday after spending a week in Jamaica where
they attended the wedding of their daughter, Tracy to
Paul Noon on Nov. 18. Several relatives and friends of
the couple were also there to help them celebrate (45 in

10 to 11 a.m., for a cost of only $2 each time you go.
Women and men are invited to attend. It is fun and easy.

The Zurich Agricultural Society annual meeting is
Thurs., Nov. 25 at Hay Township Hall, Zurich. Pizza sup-
per at 6:30 p.m., meeting at 8 p.m. Dessert lunch to fol-
low meeting. Come with ideas for the 2005 fair.
Committee Chairs please have a report for your
department, and invite anyone who helped at the fair to
come to the annual meeting. Directors are asked to
bring a dessert. Please let Margaret know by Nov. 23 if
coming for pizza.
