(photo/submitted) POLICE BRIEFS Speeding offence SOUTH HURON — On Oct. 25 at approximately 11 p.m. an officer was using radar on London Road in South Huron. The officer spotted a black 1990 Chev Cavalier travelling at a high rate of speed just north of Exeter heading northbound. The officer stopped the car, approached the driver and asked why he was travelling at 144 km/h in a 80 -km/h zone. The 20 - year -old male from Central Huron told the officer he had to get home because his dog had been locked up in a cage inside the home all day and needed to be let outside. He was charged with the speeding offence and will attend court in Goderich Dec. 16.
