SAINTSBURY NEWS
Man res•
ists arrest
BLUEWATER - On Nov. 3 a few minutes before 2 a.m.
an officer spotted a vehicle in Bayfield acting suspi-
ciously. The officer attempted to stop the 1993 Chrysler
Intrepid on Jane Street before it suddenly pulled into a
private drive and stopped. The officer found two people
inside the car and asked the driver to get out when a
number of signs indicated he was impaired. The man
became agitated and resisted the arresting officer. The
man was arrested, but it required three officers to take
him into custody. He was taken to the Huron OPP sta-
tion where breath tests were conducted, showing he
was below the level of criminal charges being laid.
A search of the driver also turned up a small amount
of cannabis marijuana. The 30 -year-old Central Huron
man has been charged with possession of a controlled
substance and obstructing/resisting arrest. He was later
released to attend court in Goderich Dec. 3.

EXETER — On Nov. 6 at 8 a.m. the OPP was contact-

a nut driver, screwdrivers, a 10 -inch car polisher, wire
cutters, a table top barbecue, a Thermos picnic cooler
and a five die cast metal scale model automobile set.
Police say this residence has been the target of at least
three thefts over the past few months. If you can assist
officers on this investigation contact the Exeter OPP
office or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
