(photo/PatBolen) Clarification Information that ran with photos of the Community Living - South Huron auction in last week's T -A omitted the fact that the auction was organized by the Community Living Auxiliary. All the money raised, over $20,000, will go towards the needs of the clients. Correction In a cutline in last week's edition of the Times -Advocate and the Weekender, two Precious Blood students were incor- rectly identified as placing fourth and tenth at a cross country meet. Brett Overholt placed fourth and Justin Reid placed tenth. The T -A apologizes for the error. WI to entertain at Blue Water Nov 17 GRAND BEND - The October Women's Institute meeting of Grand Bend was opened by president Cass Lovie reading an inspirational message. The message was `If Your Dog Was A Teacher You Would Learn', when loved ones come home, run to meet them, never pass up an opportunity to go for a joy ride, thrive on atten- tion and let people touch you, and when someone is having a bad day, sit silently close by and nuz- zle gently. The business meeting held at Grog's fol- lowed a delightful lun- cheon. A very good report was given concerning the group's participation in the Thanksgiving farmer's market. The musicians, it was noted, added to the atmosphere. The Grand Bend WI will entertain at the Blue Water Nursing Home on Nov. 17 at 2:30 p.m. Doris Bestard was pre- sented with a 25 -year pin. A report of the 85th anniversary party of Crediton WI was given. Grand Bend WI received recognition for the Ontario Historical Society in regards to their Tweedsmuir History Books. Several women expressed interest in attending the quilt auction in Stratford on Nov. 13. The Grand Bend women will begin quilting in November on a quilt to be sold next September at the International Centre. A representative from the Huron County Alzheimer Society will be at the November meeting to receive monies raised from the hotdog sale at the farmer's market. Grand Bend WI wishes to thankall for their support at the market on Thanksgiving weekend. An educational wagon tour at Twin Pines Orchard was enjoyed by the members. Many trees were loaded with rich bur- gundy -coloured apples. There are 13 varieties of apples grown on the farm. Soon they will be experi- menting with organic apples. The workings of the family -run farm was explained by Mike Vansteenkiste At the com- pletion of the informative afternoon, several women purchased apples to enjoy at home.
