Curtiss-Wright Controls Engineered Systems' EM Technologies division, an established and
growing manufacturer of leading edge, custom precision electro mechanical / electro magnetic
devices for the global Aerospace industry, has immediate openings for the following positions:
Certified Machinists
The successful applicants will have a minimum grade 12 secondary school diploma and hold a
Certificate of Qualification in machining. Duties will include the set up and operation of CNC
lathes and milling machines and other standard machine shop equipment. Preference will be
given to those applicants with experience in the machining of high quality tight tolerance preci-
sion parts. Experience working in a team environment with knowledge of statistical process
control and continuous improvement activities is an asset. The successful applicants will report
directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor.
Production Machinists
The successful applicants will have a minimum grade 12 secondary school diploma and have
experience in general machining. Duties will include the operation of lathes, mills, O.D. and I.D.
grinders, drills and other standard machine shop equipment. Other duties will include finishing
operations involving shotblasting, deburring and parts cleaning. Experience working in a team
environment is an asset. The successful applicants will report directly to the Machine Shop
Supervisor.
Operator Assemblers
The successful applicants will have a minimum grade 12 secondary school diploma. Duties will
include the preparation, assembly and test of small precision electro mechanical devices.
Preference will be given to those applicants that possess excellent hand and finger dexterity, eye
and hand coordination and are comfortable handling small precision parts. Experience with cel-
lular manufacturing environments, participating in continuous improvement activities and
working to high quality standards is an asset. The successful applicants will report directly to
the Assembly Supervisor.
Stores Clerk
The successful applicant will have a minimum grade 12 secondary school diploma. Duties will
include kitting parts for production, verifying part count status, maintaining the organization of
all inventory kept in the stores area and controlling the stock of date sensitive items. Preference
will be given to those applicants that have experience in inventory control, first in first out,
min/max and cycle count activities. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal,
written, oral and organizational skills.
Administrative Assistant (Contract)
This person will have a college or university diploma and will be responsible for providing
administrative support to the Engineering Department. Program coordination activities include
program schedules, tracking correspondence, meeting minutes, as well as other administrative
duties. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are essential as well as a
working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
