The wins put the Irish in first place in the Morenz division with 12 points. The Irish built their lead on the strength of a pair of goals from Matt Camenzuli and singles from Bill Wright and Aaron Whitcomb, with Wright's marker an unas- sisted shorthanded effort. The Lakers cut the lead in half just over four min- utes into the third period but Wright restored the two -goal margin just two minutes later.
