TIMES -ADVOCATE STAFF
LUCAN - The Lucan
Irish improved their
record to 6-1-0 with a
hard fought 5-4 win over
the visiting West Lorne
Lakers Oct. 13 before
beating Thamesford 6-4
Friday night.
The wins put the Irish in
first place in the Morenz
division with 12 points.
Lucan built a 4-1 lead by
the end of the second peri-
od but had to hang on for
the win as the Lakers
stormed back in the third.
After West Lorne took a
1-0 lead in the first period,
Lucan took over in the
second.
The Irish built their lead
on the strength of a pair of
goals from Matt
Camenzuli and singles
from Bill Wright and
Aaron Whitcomb, with
Wright's marker an unas-
sisted shorthanded effort.
The Lakers cut the lead
in half just over four min-
utes into the third period
but Wright restored the
two -goal margin just two
minutes later.
But the Lakers made a
game of it with a pair of
goals two minutes apart at
7:16 and 5:27.

goalie in the last minute
trying to get the equalizer.

they could get as Lucan
held on for the win.

games this week, with
Mitchell visiting tonight
(Wednesday) before they
visit Mt. Brydges Oct. 23 at
