Officers went to a farm on Huron Street in Usborne ward of South Huron where they were told the farmer had decided to check his corn field that afternoon. When he arrived a van was found sitting in the field. As he was waiting for the police two males came out of the corn field carrying armfuls of suspected marijuana. The two men jumped into the van and fled. The farmer fol- lowed the vehicle and with the use of a cell phone led police to a location where the van was stopped at the intersection of Perth Line 24 and Highway 23. Officers arrested two males and seized 50 marijuana plants valued at $50,000. A 22 -year-old St. Paul's man and a 43 -year-old South Huron man have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the pur- pose of trafficking and production of a controlled sub- stance.
