Last seen heading west of his home. Flanders is a male salt and pepper 3-1/2 year old miniature Schnauzer. He does not wear a collar but has a microchip in his neck. He weighs about 17 pounds and is about 16" high. Flanders is friendly and easy to approach. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, as a Fleet Mechanic you will be a key player in the maintenance and repairs of the Association's fleet of 32 waste and recycling vehicles and the material recovery facility. Normal working hours are days or afternoons (no nights). You will receive a competitive salary with excellent benefits including a pension. The ideal candidate will have a truck and coach mechanics license with a DZ driver's licence. Previous experience in the solid waste industry and/or hydraulics would be an asset. Other responsibilities will include the inspecting and recording approval of empty containers as per quality standard, installing bulkheads, ensuring completion of documentation, the washing and greasing of trucks, general housekeeping of the loading area, assisting as required to ensure timely schedules are met, and to drive to various other off-site loading areas. Applicants must have an AZ licence and minimum 1-2 years driving experience. Experience driving to various locations within Toronto would be an asset. We require an individual with excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
