world, three weeks early. She

and Jeff. She is loved by

Stephen, Aunt Jennifer and
cousin Madison, Uncle Jason,

LUTMAN - Peacefully at
South Huron Hospital, Exeter
on September 15, 2004 Victor
T. Lutman of Huron Park in his
87th year. Beloved husband of
the late Wilda (Rutledge)
Lutman (1998). Dear father of
Peter and Eleanor Lutman of
Lock Sheldrake, N.Y. Dear
grandfather of Peter and Sherry
Lutman, great-grandfather of
P.J. Lutman and his fiancee
Megan Gilmour and James
Shields, great -great-grandfa-
ther of Joshua Lutman all of
Monticello, N.Y. Dear brother
of Labelle Harness of Exeter.
Also survived by several
nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a son Glen
Lutman (1990), a grandson
David Lutman (2001), and
brother-in-law Harold Harness
(2000). He belonged to the
U.S.T.A. Association and the
Canadian Association. Victor
was selected man of the year at
Monticello Raceway by the
Harness Horsemen
Association. He was a lifetime
Horseman and raced in Canada
and the United States at all
race tracks. Friends called at
the Hopper Hockey Funeral
Home, Exeter where the funer-
al service was held on
September 18, 2004. Mr. Bob
Heywood officiated. Interment
Brussels Cemetery. Donations
to the Canadian Cancer Society
would be appreciated by the

COLLETT - Reta Mary (Ratz)
R.N., beloved wife of Ray B.
Collett, died peacefully at her
home on September 14, 2004 in
her 86th year. Born on the fami-
ly farm in Huron County, the
daughter of Jacob and Martha
Ratz. Reta was educated at local
schools graduating from the
Exeter, Ont. High School.
Choosing nursing as her career
she graduated from the Victoria
Hospital School of Nursing,
London, Ontario in 1941 and
received her R.N. Diploma.
While working at Nicholls
Hospital in Peterborough she
enlisted in the Canadian Army,
joining the R.C.A.M.C. and was
commissioned a Lieutenant
Nursing Sister. Upon discharge
in 1945 Reta joined the staff of
the newly opened Sunnybrook
Hospital in Toronto. On
November 22nd, 1947 Reta mar-
ried Ray Collett, also a retired
army officer. After living in
Oakville, Toronto, Montreal then
back to Toronto, she and Ray
moved to Lakefield, Ont., in
1983, where Reta was happily
active in community and church
activities until the day of her
death. Reta enjoyed loving and
being with Ray most and lived
for her family, son Robert
Collett, daughter Catharine
(Collett) Mundy and son-in-law
Wayne Mundy, cherished grand-
daughters Jennifer and Elisabeth
Collett, and her well -loved great-
granddaughters Morgyn and
Aiden. Reta will be sadly missed
by her sister Ruth and her hus-
band Harry Jeffery of Hensall,
Linda Rowe and Patricia
Pendergast and many nieces,
nephews and friends. Reta was
predeceased by her brother
Gordon Ratz and sisters Alma
Godbolt and Gladys Bawden. A
Memorial Service was held on
September 21, 2004 at Lakefield
United Church, Lakefield, On.
A second Memorial Service will
be held at the Dinney Funeral
Home, Exeter at 2:00 pm on
Saturday, September 25, 2004
(Rev. Sheila Macgregor officiat-
ing) followed by interment of
ashes in the family plot at
Crediton Cemetery and a recep-
tion at the Crediton United
Church. Donations may be
made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or Crediton
5 United Church. A tree will
be planted as a living
memorial to Reta Collett.

CAIRNS - On September 3,
2004 Ian John Cairns passed
away peacefully. At this time,
Marla and family would like to
extend their heartfelt thanks to
the staff of South Huron
Hospital, Exeter and their won-
derful friends Elaine, Cathy,
Dorothy and Bob & Madlyne.
We would also like to express a
special thanks to Dr. O'Connor
and his staff and also to the
Legion Branch 498, Grand Bend.

and support in our time of need.

Bev Butler, I would like to thank

KIRKTON AGRICULTURAL
SOCIETY - Another Kirkton
Fair is history. We were blessed
with 3 days of beautiful sun-
shine. Young and not so young
alike came to see and to take part
in the many classes and competi-
tions. Thanks for participating.
A very special thank you to our
hard working secretary -treasurer
and the many, many volunteers
who make sure everything is in
place and happens on time. It's
amazing how it all comes togeth-
