Sherwoods prepare for new season By Pat Bolen TIMES -ADVOCATE STAFF HENSALL — The Hensall Sherwoods are almost ready to open their season which will begin Oct 1 in Wingham. The Sherwoods will have a new head coach behind the bench with Jason McBride and Todd McCann assisting. McBride is taking over from Randy Parker who is assuming the general manager position. Parker said the Sherwoods have most of their players returning from last year but have around six to eight posi- tions to fill. "The practices seem to have been going good and he's had some good guys to follow when he was assisting," said Parker. Along with one more game added to the sched- ule, the other change to the league this season is the removal of the red line which Parker said will open up the game. "Guys are going to have to be more honest because you can make that long pass now." Hensall won't be looking for specifically more offensive players though, according to Parker, "we want whoever can play." Hensall has lost Scott Wood in goal but Andy Glavin will be back between the pipes. Parker said they were still deciding on a backup. r 1 WAY TO GO DAN!!! .,_ ,., 1 jITI+A_1 4 - -- - A 0"- - _ 0 You made your wish come true 2004 STREET ET CHAMPION GRAND BEND MOTORPLEX Good Luck at Sparta & Norwalk!
