CENTRALIA - Following vacation
in August, worship services have
resumed at Centralia and Zion West

Worship is held at 9:45 a.m. at Zion
West, and at 11:30 a.m. at Centralia.
On Sept. 12, Zion West United
Church celebrated their anniver-
sary. They welcomed Bev Rabbets
as guest speaker, from the St. Marys
congregation.
Birthday celebration
Centralia United Church was a
very happy and busy place later in
the afternoon. Family and friends
congratulated Lois Wilson on her
80th birthday, and joined in cele-
brating this very special occasion.

PASTORAL CARE ASSOCIATE
GRANTON - Our com-
munity has faced some
tragic losses this past
year. A number of young
men and women have lost
their lives accidentally
and we mourn their
deaths. As a church, we
would like to remember
them, along with others
who have died, at a
memorial service.
A memorial service is a
time to thoughtfully
remember loved ones
who have died.
Community Bible Church,
located at the corner of
IIwy. 7 and Adelaide St.,
will be hosting a non-
denominational memorial
service on Sun., Oct. 24 at
7 p.m. Anyone who has
lost a loved one is invited
to be a part of this service.
At this service, we will
light individual candles in
memory of each person
being remembered. There
will also be a powerpoint
presentation, containing
photos and brief com-
ments about each person.
We will sing and pray,
weep and laugh as we
remember how blessed
we have been and how
big is our loss.
Do I have to attend CBC
in order to remember my
deceased loved one?
No. This memorial ser-
vice is for anyone in the
community who would
like to remember a loved
one who has died.
Does my loved one have
to have died within the
past year?
No. They may have died
a number of years ago
and you may choose to
remember them now.
Can other family mem-
bers and/or friends attend
the service with me?
Yes, anyone who knew
