Bikes stolen
EXETER — Huron OPP have noticed in the last two
weeks an increase in the number of bikes stolen in
the area.
The most recent thefts occurred Aug. 24 when
someone in the last day entered onto property on
Orchard Line in Central Huron and stole a blue three
wheel adult bike. The second theft occurred in Exeter
when a youth left their locked bike at the Exeter
swimming pool on Huron Street. The theft occurred
Aug. 25 around 8 p.m. Stolen was a 2004 blue/red
Dyno Void 21 speed mountain bike. Huron OPP are
reminding owners to lock their bikes and fasten them
to a solid unmoveable object. Secondly, do not leave
bikes lying around outside — put them away in the
garage or shed and keep them locked. Bike owners
should write down the information of their bike
including serial numbers.
