Capsule Comments by Ernie Miatello During the warm days of summer, the need for water increases. For every 2.5 degrees above 29 degrees C., we should drink another 500m1 of water 12 cupsl. And don't wait until you are thirsty to drink water. Thirst is a sign you are becoming dehydrated. Water and non -caffeinated fluids are best. Our feet deserve to be treated well. If you are going to splurge on clothing and accessories, spend that money on a good pair of shoes. Improper fitting or poorly -made footwear is thought to cause 80% of all foot problems. Almost 25% of the world's population wear no shoes at all and seldom have foot problems. When we have a medical problem similar to a friend, we are often tempted to try the drug that helped the friend. It may be just fine for you but ask your doctor if it's appropriate for you. No two people are alike and your friend's drug might cause problems with other drugs you take or other conditions you have. "Before you take it, talk about it". Good advice. Testicular cancer accounts for only 1% of all cancers but often goes undetected and spreads by the time it is discovered. For men between the ages of 29 and 35, it's the leading cause of cancer. Monthly self-examination of the testes, feeling for lumps, nodules and swelling, is very proactive and could save your life. Huron Apothecary Ltd.
