SAINTSBURY— Ron and Margaret Carroll were guests
on Aug. 14 at a Guys and Gals party at the home of Lisa
and Mark McCorquodale in Ilderton assisted by Julie
Carroll, honouring Ryan Carroll and Lynn
Cowdrey whose wedding will take place
early in October.
The Davises called on cousin Gladys Davis at
Queensway Retirement Home in Hensall on Friday.
Gladys was celebrating her birthday.
Katie -Scarlett MacGillivray called on grandparents
Hugh and Hazel Davis prior to spending the weekend
near Goderich with friends.
Starr Davis enjoyed visiting with her friend near Lucan
prior to school opening.
On Saturday evening 12th Sunday after Pentecost,
Evening Prayer was held at St. Patrick's with Bob
MacGillivray leading the service assisted by Suzanne
and Hazel Davis. Focus and message based on the read-
ings: Unfolding Praise.
Announcements were given, a thank -you from Gladys
Davis for plant and card, a gift of money has been sent
to the Daily Bread Program at St. Paul's
Cathedral and another cheque has been
forwarded to Huron Grace Works. The
service closed with prayers and evening hymn.
Happy to report that St. Paul's, Kirkton have kindly
offered to host the Fall Deanery, Oct. 21 and Trinity
Anglican Church, Fordwich are hosting the Spring
Deanery meeting for Perth Deanery.
Harvest Thanksgiving Service will be held Sept. 26 at
10:30 a.m. Rev. Stanley Jay will officiate and preach.
Mitchell Iredale was overnight visitor with grandpar-
ents Ron and Margaret Carroll on Saturday.

coming to an end and
there have been no
church services in Varna
and Goshen for the month.
Church service will
resume Sept. 5
in Varna at
10:30 a.m.
Pastor Elly Van Bergen
hosted a garden party last
Thursday and the weather
was beautiful. Anna Keys
and Shirley Hill enter-
tained on the keyboards.
Pastor Van Bergen would
like to thank them, as well
as her kitchen help
Marion and Ronnie
Coleman, Katie Sparling
and Mona Stephenson. It
was a wonderful after-
noon of fun, fellowship
and the gardens at the
manse are beautiful.

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN - GRADE 12
Parents of Catholic school-age children who are new
to Perth and Huron Counties may register their
children during the week of August 30 to September
3, 2004 or on the second day of school, Wednesday,
September 8, 2004 by contacting their local school.
Children registering for the JUNIOR KINDER-
GARTEN program must be 4 years of age on or
before December 31, 2004. Children registering for
the first time in the KINDERGARTEN program must
be 5 years of age on or before December 31, 2004.
Please bring Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate
and Immunization Record Card of the child you
intend to register.
FRENCH IMMERSION classes are being offered at
