Market Report for Aug. 10
The Market at Denfield traded under pressure on med. cat-
tle. Fancy well-fed cattle steady. Sows and boars steady. Cows
sold $3-$4 higher.
Bob Hodgins, Lucan sold a 10 st. avg. wt. 1526 avg. price
72.02.
John McLinchey, Parkhill sold 34 st. avg. wt. 1384 avg. price
72.20.
Gord Hardy, Lucan sold 16 st. avg. wt. 1389 avg. price 72.36
sales to 79.50 purchased by Norwich Packers.
Bill and Mary McDonald, Thamesville sold 7 hf. avg. wt. 1286,
avg. price 75.27 sales to 80.50 purchased by Norpac.

Summary
Tuesday: The fed steers
and heifers sold $1-$ 2
lower. Fancy and double
muscle steers and heifers
sold 80 to 85 with sales up
to 93. Choice steers and
heifers sold 74 to 78, and
2nd cut steers and heifers
sold 70 to 74. The cows sold
on a steady market.
Thursday: Veal sold on a
strong active trade. Lambs
sold under pressure.
Friday: All weights and
classes of stockers sold on a
steady market.
Steers
There were 555 steers on
offer.
Two limo str consigned by
Roy Taylor, Auburn averag-
ing 1145 lbs sold to
Dominion Meat Packers for
82.75 with his overall offer-
ing of four steers averaging
1208 lbs selling for an aver-
age of 81.66.
Eighteen steers consigned
by Aaron M. Bowman,
Wallenstein averaging 1416
lbs sold for an average of
79.97 with sales to 84.75.
Eleven steers consigned by
Bill Kerslake, Staffa
averaing 1388 lbs sold for
an average of 78.96 with a
limo steer weighing 1340
lbs selling to Dominion Meat
Packers for 90.
Heifers
There were 123 heifers on
offer.
The Kirkton Horticultural Society held its Festival of Flowers Aug. 10 at the
