The Municipality of Bluewater invites applications
for the position of PROPERTY TAX CLERK.
Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this position is
responsible for the maintenance of the computerized
taxation system; providing customer service requiring a
solid understanding of taxation and assessment
legislation and related municipal policies and
procedures; authorizing daily cashier balancing reports
and adjustments; reconciliation and preparation of
journal entries for monthly taxation transactions; and,
calculation of tax adjustments as authorized by the
Assessment Act and Municipal Act. This position also
processes and issues lottery licences.
Desired qualifications include a two-year college
diploma in Business Administration or equivalent;
successful completion of Municipal Tax Administration
Program; minimum three years' related office
experience; excellent interpersonal, communication
and organizational skills; and, proficiency in computer
software applications. Experience with Great
Plains/Diamond software would be an asset.
The range of pay for this position is $28,119 - $33,743
