Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this position is responsible for the maintenance of the computerized taxation system; providing customer service requiring a solid understanding of taxation and assessment legislation and related municipal policies and procedures; authorizing daily cashier balancing reports and adjustments; reconciliation and preparation of journal entries for monthly taxation transactions; and, calculation of tax adjustments as authorized by the Assessment Act and Municipal Act. This position also processes and issues lottery licences. Desired qualifications include a two-year college diploma in Business Administration or equivalent; successful completion of Municipal Tax Administration Program; minimum three years' related office experience; excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; and, proficiency in computer software applications. Experience with Great Plains/Diamond software would be an asset. The range of pay for this position is $28,119 - $33,743 (Under review).
