Vandalism and theft
HURON PARK - Huron OPP have received three
more reports of vandalism and theft in Huron Park.
The first report came after damage was done to a
green 1980 Pontiac Grand Prix in poor condition. The
vehicle was parked beside a body shop on Canada
Avenue. Sometime through the night of July 7 some-
one jumped on the roof, hood and trunk of the vehicle
caving it in. The windows in the vehicle were kicked
out and the mirrors were ripped off.
Later that day at 4 p.m. officers responded to a
report of two cars being damaged overnight at
Murray's Service Center. The rear window of a 1997
Chev pickup truck was smashed and a Pioneer Stereo
CD player/Boom Box and speakers were stolen from
the vehicle. Also the side passenger window of a green
1997 Ford Taurus was smashed and the licence plates
with number AKZX-924 were stolen.
The next day at 8:30 p.m. police were again called to
Canada Avenue after a red 1995 Ford pickup truck
left parked near the community pool was attacked.
Someone used a sharp object to scratch the words
`flamer' and `hoser' into the paint of the vehicle. The
vehicle will have to be repainted.
Huron OPP wants to work with the public in solving
these cases of vandalism. Anyone with information -
no matter how small it may seem - is asked to call
the Exeter OPP office or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-
8477(TIPS). Working together can solve a lot of crime.
