Rocking MacNau

EXETER — Facing cloudy skies Saturday morning,
the first battle of the bands/art in the park in
MacNaughton Park got off to an uncertain start, but
quickly picked up speed.
Organized by the Exeter Youth Centre, the competi-
tion featured 11 bands and seven artists. Exeter's

Short Change opened the event at noon with bands
from around the area hitting the stage for the rest of
the afternoon. Other local bands included Dressed
to Kill from Zurich and Hensall's Capitol Four.
The contest drew bands from a wide area
including Seaforth, Strathroy, Elmira and Mt
Brydges.
The final four bands were announced at 6 p.m.
which were Level 7 from Bayfield, Dressed to Kill,
Ruth's Hat from Grand Bend and Blue Collar from Mt.
Brydges.
Exeter Youth Centre Program Service
Leader Katie Pickering said the event went
very well with the bands and artists praising
the show.
Pickering thanked all who participated and
helped organized the event, including the businesses
who helped sponsor it.

Zurich's Dressed to Kill were one of the four finalists in Saturday's battle of the
bands. Band members are Kyle Clausius, Devon Bedard, Mike Geoffrey and Brent
Regier. (Below) Ben Martin kept the crowd entertained between sets.
