(photo/PatBolen) Keep an eye on baby seats MIDDLESEX Summer is upon us, and the tradition of selling and swapping household articles through garage and lawn sales continues. However, the OPP is warning the public some deals may be deadly. Whether you buy an infant seat or those built for toddlers up to 40 pounds, garage sales are not the place to purchase a seat you will depend on to save your child's life in a collision. Unknowingly, a per- son hoping to sell their child seat may be pass- ing on a seat that has been recalled, is out-of- date, or has been involved in a collision. Even worse, police find child seats are usually placed in vehi- cles incorrectly when the directions come with the unit.
