EXETER — "It's the peo-
ple, building relationships
and fixing their treasures I
like."
Mary Hulley has only
been in business for just
over six weeks as the
owner of the Jewellery
Box in Exeter but says the
response so far has been
overwhelming.
Hulley purchased the
business on Main Street
which was formerly
Anstett Jewellers after
working for Anstetts for
five years and Bakelaar
Jewellers for eight.
She said she had been
toying with the idea for
four years in various sce-
narios and it was the right
time. BJ O'Reilly is also
employed at the store
along with Alma Davey
part-time.
Hulley's mother and
father have also been

Assault at Pinery Park
GRAND BEND — An altercation at the Pinery Park
ended with one male being arrested and charged with
assault.
The incident took place July 29 at approximately 11
p.m. Park wardens received the initial complaint and
conducted the investigation. They arrested the man
and turned him over to the OPP.
According to a Middlesex OPP report, a family of two
adults and two children were camping at the park
when a group camping nearby began getting loud and
using vulgar language. When the couple with the chil-
dren approached the campers to ask them to quiet
down, one male became angry and allegedly struck
the father in the head repeatedly with his fists. The
man's wife tried to help him, but was held back by one
of the other campers.
A 19 -year-old Windsor man was taken into custody
and charged with assault causing bodily harm, two
counts of breech of recognizance and one count of
public mischief. He was remanded into custody until a
bail hearing Aug. 4.

Other than changing the
exterior of the store, all
that was needed inside
was a coat of paint allow-
ing Hulley to reopen on
Wednesday after Anstetts
closed on Saturday.
Hulley said the business
is all about trust and
building relationships with
people.
"We've been extremely
fortunate with Anstett cus-
tomers coming in. The
response has been over-
whelming."
Hulley said she does all
her own repairs on the
premises which she also
did for Bakelaars so peo-
ple are familiar with her
work. "I stand behind
what I sell and service."
"It's been a real time
commitment but nothing
we didn't expect."
She added the business
is still looking at what peo-
ple would like to see the
store carry for product
lines.

Plan 6-4-333 Country Charmer This gracious four-bedroom home is a true country charmer. A covered veranda surrounds three sides, making
access to the outdoors easy and inviting. The three -car garage is topped by an unfinished bonus room accented by dormer windows. There is also an
unfinished basement, providing plenty of space for storage. Double front doors open to a large foyer with views to the recessed living room on one
side and the formal dining room on the other. The living room features a corner gas fireplace and a large window looking out to the front garden. The
dining room has access to the family kitchen through a pocket door and is also open to the staircase leading to the second floor.
The country kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of cupboards and counter space as well as a functional work island that can also be used as a
breakfast bar. A generous eating area beside the kitchen is separated from the family room by a railing and has a garden door leading to the rear
veranda. The family room has a comer fireplace and french doors leading to the veranda. A pocket door from the kitchen reveals a spacious utility
room and three-piece bathroom. The utility room houses the laundry equipment and an old fashioned fold -down ironing board. From here, separate
staircases lead to the bonus room over the garage and to the garage itself, which is a few steps lower than the main level of the home. The second
level is designed with the master suite stretching along one side, two bedrooms overlooking the backyard and one facing the street.
The master bedroom has a dormer window alcove, a walk-in closet and a second clothes cupboard. The ensuite bathroom boasts double sinks, a
soaker tub and a glass -enclosed shower. The three additional bedrooms share a third three-piece bathroom. This home measures 89 feet, six inches
wide and 32 feet, 6 inches deep and has 3,281 sq. ft. of finished living space. Plans for design H6-4-333 are available for $709 (set of 5), $819 (set of
8) and $889 for a super set of 10. B.C. residents add 7.5% Prov. Sales Tax. Also add $20.00 postage and handling within B.C. or $40.00 outside of
B.C. Please add 7% G.S.T. or 15% H.S.T. (where applicable) to both the plan price and postage charges. The 36th Edition of the Home Plan Catalogue
