Stolen boat found
BLUEWATER — On July 3 at 3:30 p.m. a farmer called
OPP over a boat found on a farm just off Babylon Line in
Bluewater. The farmer's attention was drawn to a corn
field when tracks were spotted leading off a closed road.
The tracks led through a cornfield into a depression in
the field where the boat was hidden among some trees.
A check on the boat found it belonged to Huron Shores
Marina in Port Franks. The owner was contacted and
told police sometime the night before a white 20 foot
1988 Doral Grande inboard/outboard boat had been
stolen from the lot. The boat, valued at $18,000, has
been returned to the business.
If you can help solve this crime call the local OPP or
Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
