EXETER - The 4-H
Beef -A -Rama meeting
was held at Jessica and
Maddison Brock's house
on June 14. Andrew
Hern ran the meeting.
She taught the
group how to tie a
quick -release knot,
and explained that
this was the easiest
knot to untie if a calf gets
into trouble. The club
practiced on a rope, and
then tried the knot on
actual calves. Inside, the
group discussed what a
good first-aid kit for a
barn should include, for
both people and cattle. A
special thanks goes
to the Brock family
for hosting the
meeting and for
the delicious
snack after-
wards. The next
meeting will be on July 12
at Robin McKnight's
house.
