EXETER — "A year unprecedented in
the history of the school," was how South
Huron District High School coach Terry
O'Rourke described the season the
school had with its sports programs this
year at the athletic assembly June 4.
South Huron sent three teams and one
individual to OFSAA competition, a feat it
has never done before.
The Panthers were represented at
OFSAA by their field hockey team which
claimed silver at the tournament which
was hosted by South Huron
The girls hockey team which won
WOSSAA gold and a bronze at OFSAA
and the boys curling team which also
was at OFSAA after taking the gold at
WOSSAA.
Also at OFSAA was Justine Clarke, who
was competing in the 80 metre hurdles
Friday.

who are retiring from coaching.
Other significant performances for the
year were the junior girls basketball
team who were the Huron champions, as
were the junior boys and the senior girls
soccer team which claimed a bronze at
WOSSAA.
With 276 athletes making up 27 teams,
