Celebrate 'An Evening of Music' in Holmesville

THAMES ROAD - Rev.
Marilyn Carter was in
charge of Pentecost
Sunday church service
on Sunday morning.
Everyone sang the
Introit, people shook
hands, Rev. Carter gave
greetings and the
announcements, led in
the Call to Worship,
Prayer of Approach and
Affirmation of Faith.
Evelyn Johns lit the
Christ Candle and Rev.
Carter told the youth a
story about the Holy
Spirit.
The choir sang Bring
Your Vessels accompa-
nied by the organist
Jean Hodgert. Psalm
104: 24-35 was read
responsively.
Rev. Carter and Bruce
Delbridge read the
Scripture, Acts 2: 1-21
with sound effects. The
title of her sermon was
'WhitSunday'. John and
Marilyn Pym received
the offering and were
greeters. Rev. Carter
gave a minute for 'Face
to Face Visitor'.
Everyone took part in
the Commissioning and
Rev. Carter pronounced
the Benediction.
Everyone sang May The
God of Hope Go With Us.
After the service a con-
gregational meeting was
held to receive the can-
vass and furnace com-
mittee reports.

Environment has put a
moratorium on the
water regulations and
has established a com-
mittee to revisit them.
Therefore, churches can
wait and see what regu-
lations will be set in
place before taking
action now.
