Marilyn Carter was in charge of Pentecost Sunday church service on Sunday morning. Everyone sang the Introit, people shook hands, Rev. Carter gave greetings and the announcements, led in the Call to Worship, Prayer of Approach and Affirmation of Faith. Evelyn Johns lit the Christ Candle and Rev. Carter told the youth a story about the Holy Spirit. The choir sang Bring Your Vessels accompa- nied by the organist Jean Hodgert. Psalm 104: 24-35 was read responsively. Rev. Carter and Bruce Delbridge read the Scripture, Acts 2: 1-21 with sound effects. The title of her sermon was 'WhitSunday'. John and Marilyn Pym received the offering and were greeters. Rev. Carter gave a minute for 'Face to Face Visitor'. Everyone took part in the Commissioning and Rev. Carter pronounced the Benediction. Everyone sang May The God of Hope Go With Us. After the service a con- gregational meeting was held to receive the can- vass and furnace com- mittee reports. Announcements Attention: If you have been selling Strawberry Supper tickets or need more tickets please con- tact Shirley Kerslake with the number before the June 2 council meet- ing so they can finalize plans. Reminder: Usborne Central Public School's 40th Anniversary is fast approaching on Sat., July 10. Please get your registration package returned to Laurie Dykstra. Meal tickets are now available. To rural congregations concerned about Water Systems regulation 170/03: the Minister of Environment has put a moratorium on the water regulations and has established a com- mittee to revisit them. Therefore, churches can wait and see what regu- lations will be set in place before taking action now. Camp Bimini is filling up fast! We only have spots in the following camps: June 27 -July 2 (ages 10-12), July 4-9 (ages 7-9), July 31 -Aug. 2 (family), Aug. 8-13 (ages 8-10). June 2 - Healthy Eating for Healthy Aging' workshop at South Huron Rec Centre, Exeter from 1 to 2 p.m. Kayla Glynn, R.D. Public Health Nutritionist with the Huron County Health Unit, will provide infor- mation on healthy eat- ing and recommended dietary changes. At time of writing, Ken Duncan is a patient in St. Marys Memorial Hospital. Get -well wish- es are extended. Doug Turnbull of Mission Viejo, California called on his cousins Bill and Rhoda Rohde on Thursday. He had been staying with his son-in- law and daughter Richard and Pam Bieman and family of Dashwood.
