Cancer fundraiser a great success at SHDHS
South Huron District High School's Relay for Life raised $15,500 for the Canadian
Cancer Society last weekend.The event saw participants walk around the school's
track in shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. May 28-29. During the opening ceremonies,
Huron -Perth Canadian Cancer Society unit manager Janis Cunningham said the
turnout was "wonderful" and the money raised will go towards cancer research,
programs and health promotion."We want to thank you from the bottom of our
hearts," she said. Pictured above from left are survivor victory walk chairperson

and Shannon Baer.
While most of the participants at last weekend's Relay for Life walked, some took
it up a notch, such as Mandy Marsden, left, Nicole Christie and Jenn Wigle.
