ZURICH NEWS
Water price
•
increases
causes concern
Dear Editor:
Referring to the story on the
front page of the Exeter
Times -Advocate, May 12,
2004, re. price of water "seri-
ous increase".
It appears to me, some of
our leaders are exempt from
price increases. One of our council
suggested an extra 50 percent
increase to the already horrendous
$20 increase.
Back when we had the water meters
installed, I was told they would pay for
themselves. I'm not sure whether the
elected official who told me this spoke
a different language so I could not
understand his line of B.S. Today, I
believe we are about $1/4 million from
paying for the meters alone.
People who are on fixed
incomes are going to have
trouble finding the extra
funds.
