Student employment office open
EXETER — The Exeter
Human Resource Centre
of Canada for Students
(HRCC-S) opened its doors
for the summer May 6.
After more than 35
years of summer service,
the IIRCC-S is looking for-
ward to another success-
ful summer of helping stu-
dents find work and
employers find qualified
student employees. Our
services are provided free
to both students and
employers.
The HRCC-S invites
employers and homeown-
ers to place a job order
this season. Whether you
need a full-time employee,
or someone for a few
hours to do odd jobs
around your home or
business, we have quali-
fied students ready and
willing to work. Students
are affordable, hard-
working and skilled. Why
not put students to work
for you this summer?
Students can check out
our job boards for full-
time and part-time job
opportunities. Students
can also sign up for the
Odd Job Squad if they are
looking for casual, tempo-
rary work. The Odd Job
Squad is an excellent
opportunity for students to
build their resumes and
earn extra cash. The
Squad is ideal for students
still in school or holding
another full-time or part-
time job.
The HRCC-S links stu-
dents looking for work
and employers looking for
summer workers. The
Summer Employment
Officers (SEOs) who work
at the HRCC-S are stu-
dents themselves and offer
workshops on effective job
search techniques.
Whether you are writing
your first resume or are
preparing for an inter-
view, the Summer
Employment
Officers are here to
help.
The HRCC-S also
has an excellent
resource library.
We have informa-
tion on effective job
search techniques,
labour legislation,
labour market
information, infor-
mation on health
and safety in the
workplace and informa-
tion on other Government
of Canada programs and
services.
The HRCC-S is located at
281 Main St. S., Exeter.
Our office is open Monday
to Friday from 8:30 a.m.
to 4 p.m. to assist employ-
ers and students. You can
