lone goal assisted by
Emily Sararas.
Going to game three
against Frontenac, the
Sabres continued to get
offence from different
players, with goals from

and Sararas.

The Sabres faced New

out a hard fought 1-0

all 27 shots she faced
and Aimee McCann got
the only goal South

a hard fought 2-0 game
to claim the silver medal.
Sabres coach Jim
Bickell said the Midgets
had very good results in
the tournament. "We
scored 14 and only had
five scored against us."
Bickell added every
player on the team
improved over the course
of the season and had
fun doing it.
"We had pretty good
goaltending throughout
the year and a good
strong team in front of
them. We had three pro-
ductive lines, five steady
defencemen and two
decent goalies."
With the team keeping
the majority of its players
next year, it will have a
strong nucleus to build
on its success of this
year.
Bickell said the Sabres
played well right through
the tournament, espe-
cially in a tough quarter
final game against New
Liskeard.
"They were a bigger,
stronger, faster team, but
I guess we wanted to win
more."
