There are many "cures" for snoring out there but only a few have been proven. If you are overweight, reduce. Don't drink alcohol in the evening since alcohol reduces muscular tone in the throat, which adds to the snoring. Smoking can cause swelling to the upper airways, which impedes airflow, which causes the snoring. You've heard of the heart pacemaker to regulate heart rhythm. There wit soon be a stomach pacemaker available. It's implanted under the skin of the abdomen with two thin wires connecting to the stomach. Community Living sup- ports 110 individuals and the money raised from the fundraising drive helps out for client needs. None of the money raised goes to administra- tion and it all stays in the area. Funds raised are used to pay for personal expense items of clients. A request for funding comes to the General Manager with recommen- dations from staff. It is passed to the board of directors which decides whether to pay for part, all, or none of the request.
