Plan 7-3-908 Compact Family Home This compact plan is well suited for today's smaller subdivision lot. The exterior even has a cottage
look, thanks to the gabled roof, covered front veranda and stone and shingle accents. Inside, an efficient layout includes everything we've
come to expect in a contemporary family home. The covered front entry leads to a foyer with a coat closet and a niche for displaying art. A
powder room is tucked around the corner and beyond it, a laundry room with access to the two -car garage. The garage also has a door
opening to the backyard, making this a convenient route to enter the house after gardening, or for children to come in to use the bathroom
while playing. Two steps down from the foyer, the great room and kitchen are sure to be the center of family life. This open area takes full
advantage of the patio garden view. Large windows in the great room and dining area overlook the back yard. As well, a sliding glass door
opens to the covered patio, making this an inviting space for outdoor meals in summer. A prep island with an eating bar and a corner sink
add design interest to the kitchen. A pantry cupboard provides valuable storage space for canned goods and bulk foods. The laundry room
offers storage for a vacuum cleaner, mops and other equipment Upstairs, the master suite with a walk-in closet and a four -piece ensuite
occupies the full width of the house. A wide window sill overlooking the backyard could be
made into a window seat, if desired. Two secondary bedrooms share a three-piece
bathroom on this level. A linen cupboard in the hall is handy for storing sheets and towels.
This home is 37 feet, 6 inches wide by 51 feet, 6 inches deep and has 1,650 square feet
of finished living space. The design includes an unfinished basement.Plans for design H7-
3-908 are available for $494 (set of 5), $571 (set of 8) and $620 for a super set of 10.
