Duties will include, but not be limited to: plan review, permit issuance, inspections, enforcement of the Ontario Building Code and Municipal Bylaws. The Inspector will report to the CBO/Manager of Building and Development, and be required to meet with the public as well as builders and developers The successful applicant should possess a college diploma in a relevant field and have a Certified Building Code Official certification. Applicants must be willing to work towards Provincial certification under Bill 124. Knowledge of agricultural buildings and nutrient management would be an asset. Proven written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent customer service skills are essential. A vehicle will be provided.
