in Hensall 7 p.m. against London
Radars two games apiece
after splitting games
again this past weekend.
The Radars won Friday
night 2-0 in Clinton. On
Saturday night in Hensall
the Sherwoods rebounded
with a 4-1 victory.
On Friday Clinton
scored with 18 seconds
left in the first period on
the powerplay. There was
no scoring until there was
seven and a half minutes
left in the third when
Clinton scored to make it
2-0.
The Sherwoods tried in
vain but could not get
anything by Clinton goalie
Jeff Roy. Scott Wood was
again solid in goal for
Hensall. No shots on goal
were recorded.
The Sherwoods had
nine minors while the
Radars had seven. Each
team had a fighting
major.
Saturday night before
another large crowd in
Hensall the Sherwoods
opened the scoring eight
minutes into the game.
Chris Downie got the
goal with Mike Johnson
and Sean McCann picking
up assists.
Hensall added to that
with 6:31 left in the first
when Jeff Glavin scored a
power play marker from
Dave Farquhar and Mark
Bell.
Two minutes into the
second the 'Woods added
to the lead when Chris
Kennedy beat Roy to
make it 3-0. Johnson and
McCann assisted on the
goal.
Two minutes after that
Clinton got on the board
to make it 3-1. Johnson
got a late goal on the
power play to make it 4-1
after two. Jeremy
Geoffrey and Derek
McKinlay assisted.
Wood was the story of
the third as he turned
aside 17 Radar shots to
preserve the 4-1 lead.
Overall Wood kicked out
36 of 37 shots fired his
way. Hensall had 14
minors while Clinton had
seven.
NOTES: The next
games of the series are
again Friday and
Saturday night, in Clinton
and Hensall respectively.
Both are 8:30 p.m. starts.
Hensall coach Randy
Parker said the
Sherwoods appreciate the
great support at home
and in Clinton.
"Our penalty killing con-
tinues to shine as we
killed off 13 of 15 penal-
ties between the two
games. We hopefully will
cut down the number of
power play chances for
Clinton. Mark Bell played
Saturday for the first time
13
since game five of the
Lucknow series. It has
been a total team effort
all the way."

ahead goal Saturday night to Hensall against the Clinton Radars. The Sherwoods

Comments - The South Huron #3
team finished their season with an
overall record of 21 wins, 8 losses
and 1 tie. They were "A" finalists
in both tournaments they played
in. First year players Kirsten
Brintnell, Daniel Allen, Raymond
Delbridge, David Noel, and Megan
Dalrymple showed a tremendous
amount of improvement during the
season. First time goalie Tyler
Hartman became a good little
puck stopper. Second year players
Brandan Willis, Wesley Dearing,
Harrison Winters, and Jared
Denotter were strong team leaders.
Cullen Mercer led the team in scor-
ing with 124 goals. Great season
