The Big Brothers/Big
Sisters of South Huron
held its Bowl For Kids
Sake fundraiser at
Zurich's Town and
Country Bowling Lanes
Sunday afternoon. Sixty
bowlers came out and
raised $2,500 for the
organization.Among
those participating

POLICE BRIEFS
Woman
on house
arrest
charged
after being
involved in
two -vehicle
crash
SOUTII IIURON — A 36 -
year -old woman from Port
Albert has been charged
with breaching probation
and traffic charges after
being involved in a two -
vehicle crash on Airport
Line at the intersection of
Centralia Road March 4 at
approximately 6:30 p.m.
According to police, a
couple was travelling
southbound on Airport
Line when they stopped at
the intersection. While
they were waiting for a
vehicle to pass they were
struck from behind. No
one was injured in the
crash and the couple's
vehicle, a 2000 Chrysler,
received damage less than
$1,000.
The driver of the other
vehicle, a white Pontiac,
got out of the vehicle and
pleaded with the victims
not to call police before
getting in the vehicle and
driving away.
Police identified the
woman and learned she
was on house arrest for
other crimes. That night
at 11 p.m. she was arrest-
ed when she was involved
in a second collision in
London. She was found
with alcohol on her breath
and blew into a breatha-
lyzer, but results were
below the level of criminal
charges being Laid. She
was turned over to the
Huron OPP Detachment
where she was held for a
bail hearing charged with
breaching her probation
and traffic charges.
