The reunion was the idea of team members Bill Smith and Clare Stanley of Lucan a few weeks ago and they decided to see where it would go. Team members were scattered across Ontario, with some as far as California and Winnipeg, but 12 were in attendance to plan an upcoming din- ner to mark the 50th anniversary of the cham- pionship. In total the team won five trophies that year including the Hoffman trophy for the Cyclone championship, the Ken McMillan OHA 'C' trophy, the Free Press WOAA C title and the Izaard Robertson trophy. Competing against teams that included Dashwood, Zurich, Hensall and Exeter, the team had a fan following that packed arenas wher- ever they played, to the point fans were literally hanging fron the rafters. The Irish repeated as WOAA champions the fol- lowing season. The dinner and dance is planned for early May at the Lucan Arena. For information contact Bill Smith at 227-4554.
