Exeter UC afternoon unit meeting

EXETER - The February meeting
was held in the church parlour on
Thursday afternoon, Feb. 12; 20
members and one visitor were pre-
sent.
Leader Marion Dougall conducted
business reports of recent
Presbyterial Annual Meeting were
given by Alma Langford and Doris
Denham. Pat Down presented rec-
ommendations and coming events.
Alma Langford and her group con-
ducted the worship service. The
theme was The Power of Names: "A
Good Name is more to be desired
than riches."
Barbara Harrison read Scripture,
a commentary by Chris Phillips,
readings by Ruth Insley and Laura
Sillery. Hymns were sung. Valentines
were exchanged. Helen Roberts and
her group served lunch.
