IIENSALL - Residents gathered in the sunroom
Monday morning for their thrice -weekly Fun and
Fitness session. The range of motion exercises were
followed by quiz games to stimulate brain function. In
the afternoon the women of Kippen United Church
provided assistance and prizes for bingo.
Queensway Volunteer Auxiliary met Tuesday morn-
ing to preview upcoming February programs and
schedule their assistance wherever needed. They also
provide delivery for the Meals on Wheels program.
Rev. Don Alcock of Bayfield Anglican Church led wor-
ship at the Tuesday afternoon church service with
Belva Fuss as the volunteer pianist. In the evening the
Christian Reform Singers gave a wonderful gospel
music program.
Volunteer Marg Cole organized an afternoon of
euchre on Wednesday with several residents partici-
pating in the competition. A few residents really enjoy
Scrabble and they're often found spending an enjoy-
able afternoon over their favorite game.
Several weekly papers along with the London Free
Press were perused at Coffee and Current Events
Thursday morning. The Bygone days section is always
a favorite as many recognize names and topics from
years ago. Hearing their horoscope is also amusing for
many. In the afternoon, residents benefited from some
pampering with hand soaks, manicures and the appli-
cation of their favorite nail polish.
Baking group met Friday afternoon and whipped up
a batch of fresh raisin scones which then had to be
taste -tested warm from the oven with butter. In the
evening Andy and Friends made some wonderful
music in the retirement home lounge for the
Friendship Friday program. Ralph Stephenson on
piano, Lois Hodgins fiddling and Jack Youngston and
Andy Rau playing guitar, produced many old favorites
for the welcoming crowd.

Stylish Three Bedroom Rancher Plan H5-3-621 A porch -style entrance and a combination of stone and wood siding on the exterior make
this three-bedroom rancher look as inviting as a country cottage. Inside, the functional floor plan would work well for a young family or for
an empty nester couple. A traditional living room and dining room are provided, as well as an open area family room and kitchen. The front
foyer opens to the more formal area of the home where two columns add a touch of drama. A gas fireplace warms the living room at the
front of the house. The adjoining dining room has a boxed -out area that could be used for a buffet or to display a special piece of art or
sculpture. A second, smaller display alcove is located at the entrance to the family room. This huge room has a corner fireplace that can
also be enjoyed from the kitchen. The kitchen has a central island with an eating bar and a range -top. Windows
over the double sinks offer a view and provide added ventilation in warm weather. The ample cabinetry includes a built-in telephone or
computer desk and a pantry. The master bedroom is situated at the back of the house and has a four -piece ensuite that includes a soaker
tub and a corner shower stall. A large walk-in closet is conveniently placed off the main entrance to the master suite. Bedrooms two and
three share a three-piece bathroom. Skylights in this bathroom and in the hallway brighten both areas with natural light. The laundry room is
conveniently located at the entrance to the garage and has a built-in storage shelf with
hooks for outdoor clothing, plus a broom closet and a laundry tub. Lattice window detail
and decorative shingles in the gables add to the exterior appeal. The house is 47 feet, 8
inches wide and 56 feet, 10 inches deep with 1,733 square feet of living space. It can be
built over a crawl space or with a basement. Plans for design H5-3-621 are available for
$494 (set of 5), $571 (set of 8) and $620 for a super set of 10. B.C. residents add 7.5%
Prov. Sales Tax. Also add $20.00 for Priority charges within B.C. or $40.00 outside of B.C.
Please add 7% G.S.T. or 15% H.S.T. (where applicable) to both the plan price and Priority
charges. The new 36th Edition of the Home Plan Catalogue containing over 300 plans is
