(5*) 102 Deaths kst.:?4, TEMPLEMAN - Mr. John Kenneth Templeman, 79, a resi- dent of the Exeter Villa and for- merly of Mitchell and Staffa passed away at his residence with his entire family by his side on January 30, 2004. Beloved husband of Roberta (Duncan) Templeman whom he married on February 28, 1948. Proud father of Rob (Bev) Templeman of Staffa, Joanne (Pat) Donovan of Burlington, Fay (Dale) Martyn of Russeldale, Darlene (Don) Ellison of Exeter, Geraldine (Jim) Neilson of Kitchener, Ruth Templeman of Stratford, Mary Jane (Mike) Parsons of Staffa, David (Karen) Templeman of Mitchell, Nancy (Henry) Bertens of Fullarton, Richard (Margaret Ann) Templeman of Staffa and Barbara (Ron) Hartman of Exeter; loving grandfather of 30 grandchildren and 4 great-grand- children; dear brother of Isabel (Wilfred) Annis of Mitchell and Margaret Cole of Hensall; dear brother-in-law of Doris Miller of Exeter. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Mary (Miller) Templeman, daughter Elizabeth (1978), son Terry (1996), sister- in-law Jean Maver, brothers-in- law Bob Maver, Lloyd Miller and Alvin Cole and by his par- ents-in-law Robert and Myrtle Duncan. John and Roberta farmed in Staffa for 50 years. John achieved the Master Breeder Award from Holstein Canada in 1999. He was a life- long member of Cromarty Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder. Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell where the funeral service was held on February 2, 2004. Rev. Kathi Urbasik-Hindley officiated. During the service, words of trib- ute were spoken by Darlene Ellison and Joanne Donovan. John Scott played "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes. The Cromarty Presbyterian Church Choir sang accompanied by Betty Lou Norris. Spring inter- ment in Staffa Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cromarty Presbyterian Church or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated. (5x) 102 Deaths MCCALLUM - The death of Captain R. Douglas McCallum, age 83, of Sackville, NB occurred suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on January 14, 2004. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Gordon McCallum and the late Nellie (Gibson) (McCallum) McGee. Doug was a member of the St. Ann's Anglican Church and the K-40 Club. He was a life member of the Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and holder of the Legion Meritorious Service Medal and Palm Leaf, he was past presi- dent of the branch, past district commander of West/Albert District, and past provincial president of the New Brunswick Command A vet- eran of WW II, he served as Captain in the Canadian Air Force in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He was a career officer with the Air Force following the war, serv- ing 28 years before retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Muriel, (Halliday) McCallum, Sackville; children Donald (Lois) McCallum, Exeter, ON., Judith (Robert) Law, Victoria, BC., Elizabeth Brock, W. Vancouver, BC., Rob McCallum, Moncton, NB. and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Katherine (Snowdon) McCallum in 1969. The Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion held a legion service on January 17, 2004. The funeral service was held at the Jones Funeral Home, Sackville (506-364-1300) on January 18, 2004. Burial in the Westcock Cemetery in the spring.
