the late Linda (Dickey) Smith at the
Dinney Funeral Home in Exeter. Sincere
sympathy from the community goes out
to her husband, Fred, and her children,
parents John and Joyce Dickey and her
brothers and sisters,
and to her grandmother

Despite piles of snow and frigid tem-

parishioners gathered together on
Saturday evening to celebrate the
evening prayer service on the third
Sunday after Epiphany at St. Patrick's.
Heather MacGillivray lead the service,
assisted by Courtney MacGillivray,

The message was Sharing Stories and
Passing on the Faith. A note of thanks
was read from the MacDonald and
Sovereign families for the Christmas gift
given to their daughter and sister Hazel
MacDonald from St. Patrick's. Service
closed with prayer and a time of fellow-
ship followed.
Evening prayer will be held again next
week on Sunday evening at
7 p.m., Feb. 1.

Davis families along with Ron and
Margaret Carroll were callers with the
Davis's this week. Starr Davis was week-
end visitor with her friend in Lucan on
the weekend. Michael, Suzanne, Travis

together.

ing as an Official
Opposition Critic for
Heritage.
"This appointment is an
acknowledgement of the
important contributions
by the people of Perth -
Middlesex in the areas of
Canadian culture and
heritage. More specifically
this serves as recognition
by the Conservative Party
of Canada on a national
level of local institutions
such as the Stratford
Festival of Canada, the
Drayton Festival and the
Canadian Baseball Hall of
Fame," observed
Schellenberger.
After the meting, Grant
hill, Leader of the Official

erning alternative to the
Liberals that Canadians
deserve from the Official
Opposition," Hill said.
"The team we are build-
ing is truly reflective of
the pan -Canadian outlook

create a remarkable
Shadow Cabinet," Hill
said.
During the month of
December members of
the Progressive
