Canadian beef is a safe and healthy product. This is FARMBRIEF an economic and trade issue, not a food safety issue. Nineteen steers consigned by Cunningham Farms, Lucan averaged 1535 lbs selling for an average price of 89.26 with their top limo steer weighing 1520 lbs selling for 107. Brian Wideman, Gowanstown consigned five limo steers averaging 1423 lbs which sold to Dominion Meat Packers for 97. His overall offering o f eight limo steers averaged 1417 lbs selling for an average price of 95.02. Heifers There were 225 heifers on offer selling from 86 to 90 with sales to 95. Thirty heifers consigned by Ducharme Farms, Zurich averaged 1354 lbs selling for an average price of 80.82 with their top limo heifer weighing 1375 lbs selling for 92.50.
