Mr and Mrs Fred Ducharme spent a few days the past week with the Hartman familly of the Goshen line south. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Cantin of De- troit were Sunday visitors with the former's parents in St. Joseph. Mr and IVIrs. Richard Geoffrey and sons of Drysdale north, spent Sun- day at the home of the later's mother. Sorry to report that Mrs. Mary Ann Charrette is confined to mer bed after returning home from the Hos- pital where she was operated on for cataract of the eye. Mrs. IWm, Brunker of Detroit is spending a few daays with her mother First Supper and Entertainment On Wednesday evening zast the C.W.L. of this parish held their first annual entertainment and supper in the parish hall, and considering the weather which was disagreeable, there was a good attendance, and e where all partook of a well prepared s meal for the occasion. The women r in charge are to be congratulated for the part they took in preparing r and serving. Mrs. Remie Denomine r who i, president of the League, als( played the role of chairlady, wit)` then came :one saddened day fur father from us was sent to stay For inflicted with ,a stroke � No longer could he abide with his kinfolks. They fought very hard to get their lifestand I And Leo:, a machinest, had ,become a brilliant' man Then Leo met a very sweet and hon- est girl Who loved the things lie did The same kind of music, the same Ideals of life, And had asked her to become itis wife So gaily and happy they left on their holidays To the country ,to God's priceless ;beauty. And after a loving, toiling day in the :Geld, Leo his foot steps homeward turned With Bike in .one nand Georgine, hand in the •other.
