Mr and Mrs Cyril Gingerich have
returned home far the holiday season
after attending the E. M:' College,
at Harriston, Virginia.

for the big opening, which wilt be
soon, Friday evening, December 30.

of Zurich are calling tor tenders for
the demolition of the 33 -ft. water
tank located beside the Zurich Fire -
hall. Tenders to quote price for
demolishing, and also price of haul-
ing away to a distance of 40 rods.

Turning northward, 1 c -nee to
Lyons. Two great Ecumenical Coun-
cils of the Church were held in this
City. They were in 1270 and 1345.
I took pleasure in visiting the church
of these councils, and to ,it in the
chair, which had been occupied by
the pope's representatives. Lions al-
so possesses the famour Shrine Notre
Dante de Fourviere. Here as •at all
other shrines, which I visited. I
said a Mass for the people of La-
Salle.
In France, the meals are served
in a queer fashion. Only one dish is
served at a time. First you are bro-
ught a bowl of soup, thea .sired te-
matoes, then peas, then metes after-
wards potatoes, macroni, fruit., etc.
In England one drank nothing bet
but
tea, - here one drinks nothing
